Saraya thinks AEW doesn’t need her right now.
It’s been over five months since fans saw Saraya compete in AEW, with her last appearance coming on the October 8 edition of Dynamite. On that night, she was part of a four-way also involving Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter and Nyla Rose, but she hasn’t seen since asking for time off due to personal reasons. With her contract expiring this September, questions have been raised regarding Saraya’s All Elite Wrestling status and the former Women’s World Champion has now discussed her absence from the company.
Speaking on the Lightweights Podcast, Saraya explained how she doesn’t think that there’s currently a spot for her in AEW right now, saying that the company doesn’t need her.
“Yeah. I mean, I feel like at this age and time, there isn’t really a spot for me right now. I feel Iike everybody’s got their own thing. Eventually…I love wrestling, I will be back at work at some point. But right now, it’s good. They don’t need me. They don’t need me,”

Saraya recently revealed that she’s coming to the end of her wrestling career very soon, and, while she gave no indication as to when she’s looking to step away from the ring, the 32-year-old clarified that she doesn’t feel the need to go out on top when the times comes. As yet, it’s unclear when fans can expect to see the star back on our screens.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Saraya’s AEW status as soon as we hear more.
