More has emerged on when Saraya’s AEW deal was originally set to expire.
Earlier this week, it first emerged via Entertainment Weekly that Saraya was set to leave All Elite Wrestling. The 32-year-old had been with the company since Grand Slam 2022 and is a former AEW Women’s World Champion, however she hadn’t competed since October and had recently been in the midst of time off prior to the news breaking of her exit. Now, an update has surfaced regarding her initial contract length.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Saraya’s AEW contract was set to expire this Autumn before she asked to get out of it early.
“Her contract was to expire in the fall and it was believed that she asked out early.”

Saraya explained that she doesn’t see where she’d currently fit in in AEW, and thanked both Tony Khan and the fans for her time there. The star’s next move is unknown, although she recently revealed that she’d be open to returning to WWE if there was the opportunity to do something fun.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Saraya’s AEW departure as soon as we hear more.
