Satnam Singh has revealed his intentions to help bring AEW to India in the future.
Given that All Elite Wrestling came together in mid-2019, it’s fair to say that the company haven’t been able to bring their product outside of the USA as much as those in charge may have liked. Their first venture out of North America came this past summer, as Tony Khan and co travelled to London to put on All In at Wembley Stadium in front of one of the biggest audiences in history, and fans are now wondering when they will next host another international spectacle.
Giving an interview to the Hindustan Times, AEW’s Satnam Singh has revealed that the company are planning to one day bring a show to India in order to increase their presence in the country and present wrestling as a viable option for children there.
“I have signed with AEW now, and I stay with them always. Every week we travel and we have matches also. We are planning to bring AEW to India and expose it here so that the people in this country know what it is. This is important. The youth should know that something can be done with wrestling too. Children need to find something, analyze your health and power, and see what you can do.”
-Satnam Singh
The seven-foot Indian star has been signed to AEW since 2021 and is predominantly seen alongside Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. Should their be any plans in place for All Elite Wrestling to hold an event in India, it’s likely that Singh would be heavily involved in the show and it’s promotion.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the possibility of an AEW show in India as soon as we hear more.
