Seth Rollins could reportedly miss WrestleMania.

On October 14, Mike Johnson of PWInsider Elite reported that some within WWE believe Seth Rollins is likely to undergo shoulder or rotator cuff surgery. With the World Heavyweight Champion expected to be sidelined for an extended period, it has now been suggested that WWE may not have him back in time for the ‘Show of Shows’.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Rollins could be set to miss WrestleMania 42.

“Well, it looks like he’s going to need surgery on the shoulder, and that’s pretty much it. The story that I got was that he was going to have surgery as soon as possible. That was from a couple days ago. And everything else, I haven’t heard anything as far as what they’re going to do (with the World Heavyweight Title). But if he has surgery, he’s going to be out for a long time. Probably past Mania.”

Rollins will undoubtedly be a huge loss for WWE in the coming months, with his injury forcing the company to rethink its creative direction. Given that Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed’s split from ‘The Visionary’ was previously described as a creative pivot, it remains to be seen how WWE will handle the situation surrounding the World Heavyweight Championship.

In terms of how this impacts Rollins’ WrestleMania 42 plans, recent reports suggest he was likely set for a match against Roman Reigns. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Seth Rollins’ injury status as soon as we hear more.
