Seth Rollins was key in choosing the masked man for WWE SmackDown.

Over the last few weeks, members of The Vision have been ambushed by various masked men, with the hooded figures often copying Seth Rollins’ Stomp. This past week on SmackDown, one of the attackers had their disguise removed by Logan Paul, but fans were surprised when the man underneath was a complete unknown to the WWE audience. Now, more has emerged on SmackDown’s masked man.

According to an update from Bodyslam, it’s believed Seth Rollins handpicked Don Furio, a student at Black And Brave Wrestling Academy to play a role in his story with The Vision.

“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Seth Rollins personally handpicked Furio to be part of the masked man story. Furio was a student at Black and Brave Wrestling Academy which is run by Rollins and Marek Brave. WWE is said to be very happy with the way that the angle played out despite all of the different injuries and obstacles that popped up.”

Rollins made his return to WWE when he emerged from under a hood having hit Logan Paul with a Stomp to help eliminate ‘The Maverick’ from the match. From here, it remains to be seen whether the company will continue to use masked man as part of the story, but the inclusion of mystery attackers has certainly given some performers the chance to get involved with some of RAW and SmackDown’s top talent while their identity is unknown to the audience.

On the topic of Rollins’ surprising return from injury, reports have given a positive update on his status for WrestleMania 42. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the plans for Seth Rollins and The Vision as soon as we hear more.
