Seth Rollins thinks very highly of the current crop of WWE talent.

When many fans think of the best period in WWE’s history, most people will point to the Attitude Era due to its sheer star power. However, a case can certainly be made for 2023, as the focus on in-ring wrestling over the last few years has resulted in a workrate-heavy, enjoyable product on Raw and SmackDown in the modern day. Whether it be Gunther’s Intercontinental Title run, Ilja Dragunov’s NXT stint, or awesome tag team wrestling, there’s something for everyone on WWE TV these days.

Someone who seems to share this view is Seth Rollins, who spoke on Mythical Kitchen and was quick to praise the current state of WWE. The Visionary went as far as to say that the quality of in-ring performers that the company have at their disposal is better than they’ve had during any previous time period. However, he does point out that this makes it harder for today’s generation to establish themselves when given the chance.

“There is so much wrestling that happens right now and because the business has progressed so much, the in-ring talent that we have right now is beyond any generation, it’s wild. You can do something that you think is gonna change the face of your character and your career, and it’s hot for 24 hours, and then boom, gone. That didn’t use to be the case, it’s definitely much harder on today’s generation to find their footing so to speak.”

During this period of high quality for WWE, Rollins has remained commonplace among their main event scene. Today, he finds himself as Raw’s World Heavyweight Champion and is set to defend the gold this Saturday against Drew McIntyre in Saudi Arabia.
