Several People Within WWE Reportedly Feel Penta Established Himself As A Main Eventer On RAW
People within WWE reportedly believe Penta should remain near the top of the card on RAW.
On the September 14 edition of Monday Night RAW, Penta challenged Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship live from Mexico City. Despite not coming away with the gold, the match received rave reviews, and many felt as if the challenger looked at home competing for the red brand’s top gold. Now, it seems those within WWE have taken note.

Interestingly, it’s noted that WWE feel like a rematch between Roman Reigns and Penta is something they can come back to for a possible PLE match in future.
“A rematch between Penta and Reigns is not currently planned. However, given the reception both publicly and behind the scenes, it is a matchup that the company already feels it can go back to at any time and could headline a PLE in the future.”

Having arrived in WWE at the start of January 2025, it wasn’t long before Penta became a fan-favourite on RAW. The Mexican star quickly entered the Intercontinental Championship scene, finally winning the title earlier this year after unsuccessfully challenging Dominik Mysterio in late 2025.
He went on to hold the gold for 153 days before losing to Chad Gable at SummerSlam. At first, many expected him to remain in and around the Intercontinental Title, but, after his electric main event with Roman Reigns, Penta could be set to remain a world championship contender on RAW.
