Sheamus will be staying with WWE.
With 2024 proving to be critical in terms of contract news across the whole of wrestling, Sheamus’ future is one that had been called into question over recent months. The Irishman’s deal was set to expire before the end of the year, but there’s now been an official update on the future of the 46-year-old.
Announced on the most recent instalment of the Pat McAfee Show, Sheamus has officially signed an extension to stay with WWE into the future.
McAfee didn’t specify the length of Sheamus’ new deal, but WWE being able to keep the former four-time world champion on their roster for the foreseeable future is undoubtedly a good move as far as the company are concerned.
Sheamus remains a key figure on WWE programming and is currently locked into a feud with Pete Dunne on Monday Night RAW. As his stay with the company rolls on, it’ll be interesting to see whether the ‘Celtic Watrior’ can get his hands on the Intercontinental Championship to tick off the one title that has eluded him throughout his illustrious career.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Sheamus’ contract extension with WWE as soon as we hear more.
