John Cena might be done with the blue brand.

Currently in the midst of his retirement tour, John Cena’s 2025 has certainly been eventful. The 48-year-old completed his shocking heel turn back in March and added a record-breaking 17th world title to his collection at WrestleMania 41. However, Cena’s feuds have almost exclusively taken place on SmackDown since his retirement year kicked off, and now it seems he may be moving away from Friday nights.

Per WrestleVotes, it’s believed some in WWE expect tomorrow night to be John Cena’s final SmackDown.

We’re told some within WWE are quietly expecting tomorrow night to be John Cena’s final SmackDown. According to a source, with only seven remaining dates left—and just two yet to be announced—it’s unlikely another will be a SmackDown event, meaning Cena will have debuted and ended his run on the blue brand in the very same building, Chicago’s Allstate Arena.”

With Cena seemingly stepping away from SmackDown, many fans will have their own pitches as to what they’d like to see him do should he soon be back on Monday nights. A popular choice would be for the legend to chase the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the only title he’s yet to hold, although whether that happens remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s plans for John Cena as soon as we hear more.
