‘Stone Cold’ has discussed his WrestleMania 41 status.
Last year, at WrestleMania 40, fans watched on as Cody Rhodes finally got his hands on the Undisputed WWE Championship. During the match, we saw cameos from the likes of John Cena, The Rock and The Undertaker, though many felt it was missing the inclusion of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin. With it being later confirmed by ‘The Rattlesnake’ that WWE reached out to him about ‘Mania 40 before had to decline due to other commitments, he’s now addressed his current status for this year’s show.
Speaking to The Schmo, Steve Austin said he hadn’t heard from anyone regarding WrestleMania 41, with the 60-year-old instead choosing to focus on the Mint 400 after his knee replacement.
“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything can happen, but I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on. I’m not looking to Mania. I’m looking to the Mint 400. I’ve got a brand new left knee, it’s my first race back, and I’m gonna go out there and kick ass to see if I can do it as well as I can,”

While many nor have originally expected him to appear at WrestleMania 41, many fans thought that his inclusion would make sender following John Cena’s shocking heel turn and alignment with The Rock at this past weekend’s Elimination Chamber. As it is, it seems as if we won’t be seeing ‘Stone Cold’ back up Cody Rhodes in Las Vegas, although things can still change.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Steve Austin’s status for WrestleMania 41 as soon as we hear more.
