Steve Austin shares who he thinks are some of WWE’s all-time greats.

Through its storied history, WWE has played host to many of wrestling’s biggest ever stars. As such, it’s common for fans to debate over where certain legends rank on a list of the all-time greats, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has now weighed in on who he thinks are the best in-ring performers of WWE’s past.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Austin called Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero the 1A and 1B of WWE’s all-time in-ring talent.

Shawn Michaels is probably one of the best to ever get in a ring, if not the best. If he would be 1A, then 1B would be Eddie Guerrero. I don’t know if those aren’t interchangeable, because Eddie Guerrero was straight money, so good at so many things.”

Austin and Michaels had three singles matches during their career, with their most notable encounter coming when ‘The Rattlesnake’ defeated ‘The Heartbreak Kid’ for the WWF Championship at WrestleMania 14. The pair also had a brief run as WWF World Tag Team Champions in 1997.

Conversely, Austin’s only televised one-on-one match with Eddie Guerrero came on an episode of SmackDown in 2000 in which ‘Stone Cold’ picked up the win in just over three minutes, though they shared the ring on a few more occasions at house shows.

Elsewhere in the interview, Austin discussed the natural chemistry he had with Bret Hart. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Steve Austin as soon as we hear more.
