Steve Austin still gets the urge to create more moments in WWE rather than compete in another match.

Since making his return in a No Holds Barred victory over Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, fans have wondered whether we will ever see Stone Cold Steve Austin lace up the boots one more time.

Appearing on Busted Open, Austin opened up about whether he still gets the itch to get back into the ring. He made it clear that he is retired and is more tempted to create moments rather than matches.

“I’m done. I could go out and do something. I’m not lobbying to do that… the fact that people are still like, ‘Hey, man, it would be cool to see him do something,’ I guess it’s an honor, — [The itch to return] would be to go back for one of those moments. Not a match itch. I got a left knee replacement a little over a year ago, and God dang, my leg feels good. I’m glad I got it done. I get the itch for certain moments, but to try to do a match? No.”

Despite being unable to make an appearance during the 3/16 edition of WWE Raw, it is highly likely that the door will remain open for Stone Cold Steve Austin should he feel the urge to create more moments in WWE. With WrestleMania 42 rapidly approaching, it certainly can’t be ruled out that we may see him on our screens again sooner rather than later.

Stone Cold Steve Austin recently revealed that he keeps in touch with his WrestleMania 38 opponent Kevin Owens and wished him well in his ongoing recovery. You can read more about that here.
