Swerve Strickland: There’s Never Been A Wrestler Like Me In The Past

AEW’s Swerve Strickland is one of one.

Since joining All Elite Wrestling in March 2022 following his release from WWE, Swerve Strickland has become one of the promotion’s most recognisable stars and is a former AEW World Champion.

Speaking to Rich Latta, Swerve Strickland let it be known that he’s in a league of his own, highlighting his authenticity and claiming that wrestling has never seen anyone like him before.

“Even the bad habits I do have are inspirational. People watch me. They inspire from what I’ve done because I’m authentically myself and always has been. I’ve never marketed or modeled myself after another wrestler. It’s hard to compare me to wrestlers in the past because there’s never been a wrestler like me in the past.”

Last night’s episode of AEW Collision saw Swerve Strickland confront Kevin Knight, with the former AEW World Champion and Prince Nana seemingly looking to recruit for the return of The Embassy.

Swerve Strickland is set to take on Brody King at AEW Revolution on March 15, and with a renewed mean streak, it may not be long before he finds himself back on top of All Elite Wrestling.
