Marigold reportedly beat STARDOM in agreeing a deal with WrestleUniverse.

In recent weeks, STARDOM have made attempts to air their shows live on their streaming service Stardom World, and it appears as though the company have plans to further increase their streaming capabilities.

In today’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that STARDOM President Taro Okada recently attempted to agree a deal to air their shows on Wrestle Universe, however they ultimately agreed a deal with Marigold instead.

“Stardom is moving to streaming its shows live. Whether Stardom shows become part of the New Japan World streaming service is unknown. Taro Okada had recently attempted to get a deal to air shows live on WrestleUniverse, but they went with Rossy Ogawa’s Marigold group instead.”

It was recently announced that NJPW will fully acquire Bushiroad Fight, making STARDOM a fully owned subsidiary of NJPW as of June 28th. Whether this will lead to STARDOM being aired on NJPW World remains to be seen.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future streaming plans for both STARDOM and Marigold as soon as we hear more.
