The date of Kenoh’s GHC Heavyweight Championship challenge has been revealed.

Following his victory over OZAWA in the main event of NOAH’s Wrestle Odyssey II show, Tetsuya Naito was challenged to a world title match against NOAH mainstay, Kenoh. A couple of days after this development, we now have a date and location for that next bout.

Tetsuya Naito will defend his GHC Heavyweight Championship against Kenoh on November 9 in the main event of the first night of NOAH’s Jr. Grand Prix 2 event in Korakuen Hall.

This will be Naito’s second attempted defense of the belt, with Kenoh’s set to chase his fifth reign with the most prestigious championship in the company. If successful, it would put him tied for the most of all time with Go Shiozaki.

This event will also feature four first round contests in the aforementioned Jr. Grand Prix 2. According to NOAH’s website, GHC200 Champion Shuji Kondo will take on GHC Jr. Tag Team Champ, YO-HEY, in the first tournament match of the event. They will be followed by Tsunagu Sato vs. Kid Lykos II, then Sydney Akeem vs. Kid Lykos, and finally, GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion Kai Fujimura vs. BUSHI.

As a reminder, Tetsuya Naito beat Shane Haste on August 8 to win his first GHC Heavyweight Title, and as of writing currently sits at 78 days as champion.
