This past Saturday during the NXT Stand & Deliver pre-show, The Schism, consisting of Joe Gacy, Ava Raine, and The Dyad (formerly known as the Grizzled Young Veterans) lost to the team of Chase University and Tyler Bate in a match to gain control of the University. Following said loss, it now appears as though one-half of The Schism have their eyes on the exit door.
Fightful Select are reporting that Zack Gibson/Rip Fowler and James Drake/Jagger Reid, known collectively as the Grizzled Young Veterans/The Dyad, have now requested their WWE releases.
“Fightful Select can confirm that the former Grizzled Young Vets, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler have requested their releases from WWE. They’ve been involved with The Schism of late on NXT.”

The report notes that as of writing, the specific reason behind the release request is unknown. However, the pair are expected to touch on this themselves shortly.
It was also added that the duo’s visa situation would be unclear should they receive their release, although it is expected that the pair would enter into the standard non-compete clause period as is the usual case with WWE departures.
The former NXT UK Tag Team Champions are expected to be in high demand across both the US and UK indie scenes should they leave WWE, and thus as always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on this situation as soon as we hear more.
