The Rock is reportedly won’t be at WrestleMania this year.
Last year, The Rock had a key part to play in the road to WrestleMania, prompting John Cena’s stunning heel turn on Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber. However, despite his alliance with the now retired star, ‘The Final Boss’ had no involvement at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. With many fans wondering what the future holds for The Rock, the latest update has emerged on his current status for the next two editions of the ‘Show Of Shows’.
According to an update from Andrew Baydala on X, it’s believed that The Rock won’t be at this year’s WrestleMania, though he has a big offer under discussion for 2027.
“The Rock is NOT wrestling at this year’s #WrestleMania. The “big offer” under discussion is for next year’s Mania 43 in Saudi Arabia, and there appears to be hesitation about proceeding, given that The Rock knows it would most likely be his last match.”

In the September 15 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority believed negotiations for The Rock to wrestle at the show were close to being finalised and that they were pushing for a main event pitting ‘The Final Boss’ against either Roman Reigns or Cody Rhodes.
However, Fightful Select later noted that rumoured names for WrestleMania 43 such as The Rock and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin had yet to be approached with regard to WrestleMania in Saudi Arabia. With ‘The Great One’ seemingly set to miss this year’s event, whether he laces up the boots for another ‘Mania in 2027 remains to be seen.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for The Rock as soon as we hear more.
