An indication has emerged regarding The Street Profits’ WrestleMania plans.
At present, we are just 15 days away from the start of WrestleMania 41. Notable matchups announced so far include Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship defence against John Cena, Jey Uso challenging GUNTHER for the World Heavyweight Championship and a star-studded three-way featuring Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and CM Punk. With the cards for both nights of WrestleMania taking shape, there’s now been an update on what the WWE Tag Team Champions could be doing on the show.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that The Street Profits are set to defend their WWE Tag Team Championships in a multi-team match at WrestleMania.
“The expectation is a multi-team for the Smackdown tag titles with the Street Profits defending.”
-Dave Meltzer
While the list of participants for the match isn’t specified, Friday Night SmackDown has seen a strong group of teams contend for the gold in recent months. It’s likely that teams such as DIY, The Motor City Machine Guns, Pretty Deadly and Los Garza will all be among those standing across the ring from The Street Profits later this month.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s plans for WrestleMania 41 as soon as we hear more.
