According to reports, there is currently a feeling of negativity within AEW.
All Elite Wrestling has been subject to a lot of scrutiny as of late, with a portion of fans feeling a disconnect between what the company set out to do upon their inception and what they are today. As such, the phrase ‘restore the feeling’ has been coined to describe how many believe that AEW’s on-screen product could do with a shot in the arm.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it’s said that there is generally a negative feeling in and around AEW at present, despite them reportedly grossing more money now than that had ever done in the past.
“They’re grossing a lot of money. It’s interesting because today I’ve gotten so much feedback from people in and around AEW, and it’s a lot of negativity right now.
“And I think some of that stems from the show Saturday night obviously was a very poor crowd. It’s interesting because there’s a lot of negativity while at the same time the company’s grossing more money by far than it ever has, the last couple of months. It’s been very, very successful in that sense. As far as turning profit, that’s a very different story. And as far as the value of the company… there’s economic aspects of the company that look really good, but there’s still this feeling (of negativity).”

Particularly online, a lot is made of AEW’s recent drop in ticket sales and attendance numbers, on top of that, they let their Vice President of Post Production Kevin Sullivan leave earlier this week.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the feeling surrounding AEW as we hear more.
