Three Matches Added To Lucha Kingdom Event
CMLL have announced three more matches for their massive co-produced Lucha Kingdom show.
The biggest addition to the show, which is set to take place on Monday, November 16, from the glorious Arena Mexico, is a singles match pitting Hechicero and Zack Sabre Jr. for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship, a title that Hechicero has defended against the Briton once before in a three-way match back in September during CMLL’s 93rd Anniversary event.
In a video package, ZSJ said the following about their upcoming contest.
“Hechi. Hechi. Hechi. Congratulations on (your) successful title defense at FantasticaMania UK. Well, I requested a Mano y Mano singles match with you for Lucha Kingdom, but considering your dishing out title matches willy nilly, I’ve changed my mind. Hechicero, November 16th at the first ever Lucha Kingdom, I want my rightfully owed title shot, one on one vs. you and I will be the next CMLL Heavyweight Champion. Adios, d**khead.”
-Zack Sabre Jr.
The match is currently listed, at least on Lucha Blog, to be the semi-main event of the show behind Místico’s singles match against an unknown opponent following El Desperado’s injury news.
Elsewhere on the card, Soberano Jr. will take on NJPW’s Shota Umino in what could be the most exciting match of the evening. These two haven’t locked up in several years, and never in singles action.
Also, CMLL announced an eight-man tag featuring Black Tiger, KUSHIDA, Shoma Kato, and Yutani taking on the entire crew of El Galeón Fantasma; Zandokan Jr., Difunto, Barboza, and Furia Roja.
Full Card so far:
- El Galeón Fantasma (Barboza, Difunto, Furia Roja, & Zandokan Jr.) vs. Black Tiger, KUSHIDA, Shoma Kato, & Yutani
- Master Wato, Okamura, & YOH vs. Brillante Jr., Capitán Suicida, & Rey Pegasus
- IWGP Women’s Championship: Syuri (c) vs. Kira
- DOUKI & SHO vs. Guerrero Maya Jr. & Xelhua
- NJPW STRONG Tag Team Championships: Los Hermanos Chávez (Ángel de Oro & Niebla Roja) (c) vs. Unbound Co. (Taiji Ishimori & Titán) vs. United Empire (Francesco Akira & Templario)

- Místico vs. TBD
