Following Scott D’Amore’s unexpected firing from TNA on February 7, a familiar face has taken over one of his roles.
Per the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, Tommy Dreamer is the new head of TNA’s creative team.
“Tommy Dreamer is now the head of [TNA] creative, as many expected with D’Amore gone.”

Tommy Dreamer was previously Ohio Valley Wrestling’s booker at the turn of the millennium. In 2012, he started House of Hardcore, a promotion that he claimed was designed to invoke the “spirit of ECW.” It has been inactive since December 2019, shuttering when Dreamer gained more influence within what was then known as Impact Wrestling, as he became a member of the creative team earlier that year.
TNA talent wrote a letter to management protesting D’Amore’s firing, which was made public through a Fightful Select article earlier on Thursday. If nothing else, Dreamer being named head of creative gives the roster a familiar personality to work with.
As always, we’ll aim to keep you updated as TNA’s situation continues to change.
