Shane McMahon is welcome to join AEW according to Tony Khan.
Over the last few days, speculation has been rampant regarding the possibility of Shane McMahon joining AEW. On a recent episode of the Grilling JR podcast, Conrad Thompson claimed that McMahon has been reaching out to AEW talent over the possibility of joining the promotion, and whilst reports have varied on the validity of this since, we now have an interesting quote from Tony Khan himself on the matter.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that he is aware of the rumours of McMahon’s interest, adding that he’s always welcome to join All Elite Wrestling.
“I heard the rumor he might be interested. I’ve never met Shane, but we have a lot of mutual friends. I have a lot of respect for him as an executive and a professional wrestler. Shane is always welcome in AEW.”

Shane McMahon has been absent from WWE since suffering a leg injury at WrestleMania 39 following an awkward landing during a match against The Miz. Additionally, reports from Fightful Select suggest that Shane is not currently under any kind of contract with WWE, thus opening the door for AEW to make a move.
