Trick Williams had his first taste of championship gold at NXT’s No Mercy PLE in September of this year.
Williams defeated Dominik Mysterio at No Mercy to become the North American Champion, however, Dominik would reobtain the title on the following episode of NXT programming thanks to the aid of the rest of The Judgement Day.
Trick would think back on his short but sweet title reign during an appearance on WWE Die Woche.

Trick Williams recently became the number-one contender for the NXT World Championship after his victory in the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT’s Deadline PLE.
Williams will face off with Ilja Dragunov at New Year’s Evil with the NXT Championship on the line, although the jury is still out over who attacked him backstage in October, with both Dragunov and his best friend Carmelo Hayes appearing to be the prime suspects.
