Trick Williams vs. Sami Zayn Reportedly Discussed For WWE WrestleMania 42

Trick Williams and Sami Zayn facing off at WrestleMania has been discussed by WWE.

With WrestleMania 42 fast approaching, the direction for several of WWE’s top stars remains uncertain beyond the scheduled world title matches set following the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber bouts.

BodySlam have provided an update on one potential WrestleMania matchup, reporting that WWE has discussed the idea of Trick Williams facing Sami Zayn at the event.

Trick Williams and Sami Zayn have had several interactions since Williams’ main roster debut, though outside of a house show match, they have only shared the ring once on television, during a WWE Championship number one contendership fatal four-way that Zayn ultimately won.

So far, WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas is set to feature Roman Reigns challenging CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, while Drew McIntyre is scheduled to defend the WWE Championship against Randy Orton. However, Cody Rhodes could yet disrupt those plans on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown as he challenges McIntyre.

On the women’s side, Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan, while Rhea Ripley is set to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship.
