Since Clash In Paris, Wade Barrett has been away from WWE commentary. Initially, due to the timing of his absence, it appeared linked to the brief tension between the Brit and Nikki Bella, but it was later clarified that it was a result of time off booked months in advance. Now, there’s been an update on when Barrett might be back in the fold.
Per PWInsider Elite, it’s believed that Wade Barrett is listed internally for the WWE broadcast team this weekend.
“Wade Barrett is listed internally for the WWE broadcast team this weekend in Indianapolis. Barrett has been off TV for several weeks at his own request.”
-PWInsider Elite
Barrett will seemingly make his return in time for WrestlePalooza, taking place this Saturday. Heavy emphasis is being put on the show, and the lineup includes AJ Lee’s first match in over a decade, Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, as well as Stephanie Vaquer facing IYO SKY to crown a new Women’s World Champion.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Wade Barrett as soon as we hear more.
