We now have some insight into why Omos and Odyssey Jones have not been seen on WWE programming in some time.
Odyssey Jones was drafted to the Raw brand in May but has not yet made his main roster debut. A new report from Fightful Select confirmed that creative pitches have been made for him, though they have not yet progressed past that. However, he has been working live events recently.
“Odyssey Jones hasn’t been on WWE TV, but has been on the road. We’re told that he had been pitched for the Street Profits/Lashley group at one point, but there’s been no development on screen. However, he returned to the road with WWE, teaming with Cameron Grimes against Austin Theory and Grayson waller on recent live events.”

The report also detailed why Omos has seldom been on WWE TV since his WrestleMania 39 loss to Brock Lesnar. Not many pitches have been made involving him this year, but he is viewed as an attraction.
“Omos has not been used on WWE TV since Summerslam, when he returned…after almost never being used on TV since WrestleMania. Sources in WWE told us they feel like Omos can be used in the attraction role, but there haven’t been many creative pitches thrown his way. However, he wrestles semi-regularly on live events, usually against the likes of Akira Tozawa.”

Both Omos and Odyssey Jones are likely to appear on WWE TV again in due time, but currently, their absence can be explained as creative having nothing for them.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for both Odyssey Jones and Omos as soon as we hear more.
