Will Ospreay is taking time away.

At All In Texas, Will Ospreay teamed up with Swerve Strickland to defeat The Young Bucks, meaning the former AEW World Tag Team Champions are no longer EVPs. Then, in the main event of the night, ‘The Aerial Assassin’ emerge to attempt to come to the aid of Hangman Page. However, Ospreay was taken out by The Death Riders and Gabe Kidd leading to him being stretchered out of the arena. Now, it appears there was a clear reason for writing him out of programming.

Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that Will Ospreay will be taking some time off from AEW due to working while banged up of late.

“We’re told that Will Ospreay has been working banged up, and is expected to take some time off.”

Ospreay didn’t appear on last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite and the report notes that he’s likely to be out for about a month, though an official timeframe for his return isn’t yet known.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Will Ospreay’s AEW absence as soon as we hear more.
