Will Ospreay could be back in AEW this spring.

As of writing, it’s been over six months since AEW fans last saw Will Ospreay compete in the ring. The star was attacked by the Death Riders after the 10-man Lights Out Steel Cage match that closed Forbidden Door, with this freeing him up for time away from our screens to undergo neck surgery. Having been focused on his recovery since going under the knife in September, it now appears as if Ospreay’s return isn’t too far away.

According to an update from Fightful Select, it’s believed Ospreay has been working out in the ring ahead of AEW shows, with it possible he could return in spring.

“We’re told that he’s been working out in the ring ahead of shows, and things look very promising for him to return to form as it relates to the level he was competing at before. We’ve heard a possible spring return for Ospreay, and there’s obviously a hope that he’ll factor into the AEW All In London show in a big way.”

Will Ospreay’s last AEW match came in England at the O2 Arena last August. Given that All In has been the company’s marquee event since 2023, it’s likely ‘The Aerial Assassin’ will be a main attraction at Wembley Stadium this summer.

The 32-year-old officially began life with All Elite Wrestling back in 2024 and is already a former International Champion. After Ospreay finished as the runner up in last year’s Owen Hart Tournament, the Brit will undoubtedly be looking to vie for the promotion’s top prize under the Wembley arches on August 30.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Will Ospreay’s AEW return as soon as we hear more.
