Will Ospreay thinks AEW should do a stadium show around WWE WrestleMania 43.

On September 12, 2025, WWE announced that WrestleMania 43 would emanate from Saudi Arabia. Given this will be the first time the company’s biggest event will travel outside of North America, many have been left wondering what this means for the wide range of promotions and conventions that usually travel to the host city of WrestleMania. It now seems one of AEW’s biggest stars sees this as a big opportunity for the promotion.

Speaking to Josh Martinez, Will Ospreay discussed the prospect of AEW running a stadium show around WrestleMania 43 that would allow others to flock to the city for typical ‘Mania weekend activities.

“It has crossed my mind, especially hearing about it going to be going over to Saudi Arabia. Why not? There’s gonna be a bunch of wrestling fans that would usually flock to whatever stadium, whatever city they’re in. I think it’s something we should heavily consider. I hope [Tony Khan] is considering it because I think the best thing we can do, on that day that WrestleMania is over in Saudi Arabia, make affordable tickets for one of the greatest wrestling shows ever and make it a whole weekend. Ring of Honor on Saturday. Help out a bunch of indie promotions on Friday. I just think we could definitely formulate such a great affordable time for wrestling fans and families as well. If we don’t look at that, then what’s the point of even doing it?”

At present, no plans have been announced with regard to whether AEW will look to fill the void left by WWE in the United States when WrestleMania goes to the Middle East. But, with around a year left until the show, plenty of time is left if Tony Khan did opt to put together a weekend for fans looking for something closer to home.

In terms of what’s next for Ospreay, ‘The Aerial Assassin’ will look to take the AEW Continental Championship from Jon Moxley at Dynasty tomorrow night. The match will be Ospreay’s first on pay-per-view since he was written off at the hands of the Death Riders at the end of last August’s Forbidden Door.
