WWE Champion CM Punk Teases A Possible Appearance At AAA Worlds Collide

CM Punk could be the next WWE star to make an appearance in AAA.

Earlier this month, it was announced that AAA Worlds Collide will take place in the AllState Arena on September 26. Since WWE’s acquisition of the Mexican promotion in 2025, many of the company’s main roster talent have appeared on AAA’s Premium Live Events, and it now seems one of their biggest names could potentially be set for a trip to Worlds Collide when it comes to the Chicago area at the end of September.

Speaking to Ringside Collectables, CM Punk registered his interest in appearing for AAA on September 26.

“We just announced a show for them (AAA), at the Allstate arena, so it might be a perfect time for me to kind of dip my toe in the AAA pool. I’ve worn a mask before. I’ve gotten my head shaved in a Mask vs Hair match before. We can set the table and do it all over again in 2026”.

Punk, who captured the WWE Championship from Sami Zayn on WWE Raw on July 6, made a reference to his days as the leader of the Straight Edge Society in 2010. During this time, Punk famously lost a Hair vs. Mask match to Rey Mysterio at WWE Over the limit in May 2010. As a result, Punk shaved his head, opting to wear a mask for a period to hide his new look.

If CM Punk still has the gold by the time Worlds Collide rolls around we could see history made if Punk debuts in AAA as WWE Champion. This would add yet another accolade to Punk’s already Hall of Fame worthy career. Before we get there, though, the Chicagoan will put his WWE Championship on the line against Cody Rhodes at Summerslam, taking place on August 1 and 2.
