Kevin Owens has been offered a new contract by WWE.

Back in May, Kevin Owens revealed that he had less than nine months left on his WWE contract, meaning his current deal expiry date falls around February 2025. Offering an update last months, ‘The Prizefighter’ revealed that there had been no change to his contract status, and reports are now suggesting that the company have started communication with regard to offering an extension to the 40-year-old.

Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that Kevin Owens has been approached by WWE for a new contract, with it said that a new deal hasn’t yet been signed.

“WWE source tells Fightful that Kevin Owens has been approached for a new contract. We’re told that Owens has not signed a new deal as of yet, but communication has been made.”

Owens is one of the biggest names in the world of wrestling, and the report notes that AEW have major interest in bringing the star in if he reaches free agency.

“Those that we spoke to in AEW said that the company has long had major interest in bringing Owens in when and if he’s available. They’re expected to make him an offer if he reaches free agency.”

While outside interest is bound to be high, Owens has previously said that he can’t see himself leaving WWE having spent a decade with the company. Regardless, the situation is certainly one to keep an eye on going forward.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Kevin Owens’ contract status as soon as we hear more.
