WWE reportedly set a price higher than $100 million for WrestleMania 43 to go to Saudi Arabia.

On September 10, it was accidentally revealed ahead of time that WrestleMania would be heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027. With this set to be the first time that the ‘Show of Shows’ has ever been held outside of North America, many were immediately wondering what the details were behind such a groundbreaking move. Now, an update has emerged regarding the amount WWE were asking for to complete the deal.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that the total value of the agreement between WWE and Saudi Arabia is well over $100 million.

The total value of the deal is said to be well over $100 million. A Saudi Arabian source said, “I can’t share with you the exact number but WWE asked for a higher number than $100 million as the show will feature The Rock (if the agreement is reached) and will be a packed mega stars show as the General Entertainment Authority requested.”

As mentioned, both sides are planning to stack the show with some of WWE’s biggest names. Alongside The Rock, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin has been discussed for the show, with it indicated that Saudi Arabia are pushing for certain wrestlers to come out of retirement for the show.

Elsewhere in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer discussed how close a deal is for The Rock to appear at WrestleMania 43, which you can read about here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia as soon as we hear more.
