One of WWE’s rising stars could be set for clash with ‘The Beast’ in the near future.

On September 20 at WWE’s Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, Brock Lesnar made his in-ring return with a decisive victory over John Cena. The emphatic win signaled that Lesnar’s comeback is more than a one-off appearance on Cena’s retirement tour, with signs pointing toward a major matchup being lined up in the months ahead.

According to BodySlam, internal discussions have taken place about Bron Breakker facing Brock Lesnar in the near future, with WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas next year being floated as a possible stage for the matchup.

“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that there has been a lot of talk internally recently regarding a Bron Breakker and Brock Lesnar match taking place in the future with one source noting that it very well could end up being at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.”

WWE unveiled the first official advertisement for WrestleMania 42 on Tuesday, with the poster featuring Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk, and Brock Lesnar.

Lesnar’s placement on the poster is a massive indicator that ‘The Beast’ is here to stay, despite having been named in Janel Grant’s ongoing lawsuit against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

The former multi-time WWE Champion was reported earlier this month to have recently signed a new contract with the company. You can read more about that here.

Elsewhere during Wrestlepalooza, Bron Breakker teamed up with Bronson Reed to take on The Usos, with The Vision’s representatives walking away with the victory.

The company undoubtedly has big plans for Bron Breakker, with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes recently endorsing the former two-time Intercontinental Champion as the future of WWE. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the prospect of Bron Breakker facing off against Brock Lesnar in the near future as soon as we hear more.
