WWE Reportedly Felt The Wyatt Sicks Had Run Its Course

After their recent releases, it’s believed WWE felt the Wyatt Sicks had run its course.
When WWE had its latest round of releases on April 24, many of the names had fans confused, and this was particularly the case when the company parted ways with the Wyatt Sicks in its entirety. The group had been regularly featured on SmackDown as part of a feud with The MFTs for several months, and even faced them as recently as April 17, but all five members will now find themselves as free agents once their non-compete clauses expire. Now, more has emerged on why the company decided to release the faction.
According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed WWE felt as if the Wyatt Sicks had run its course.
“It was just felt that the group had run its course. Even at first there were those who was it as a short-term idea.”
-Dave Meltzer
The group had a chilling debut on the June 17, 2024, edition of RAW, as camera crew were led backstage to reveal a trail of WWE staff, and security that had been taken out, before focusing on Chad Gable having been brutally attacked. The faction as a whole then emerged through a door on stage, similar to that which Bray Wyatt walked through to mark his return in 2022, and it seemed as if the landscape had been completely shaken up.
Their releases bring their almost two-year as a stable to an end. In that time, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis were able to pick up the WWE Tag Team Championships for a 196-day reign. Of course, we wish the Wyatt Sicks members, and everyone affected by the recent talent cuts, all the best with regard to their next move.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the Wyatt Sicks following their respective releases as soon as we hear more.
