Another major re-signing is being eyed up by WWE.
Over the past few days, several reports have indicated that WWE are now making moves to tie down several of their top stars who’s contracts were set to expire next year, with the likes of Charlotte Flair and both Rey and Dominik Mysterio reportedly committing their long-term future to the company.
It now appears as though WWE are lining up another major re-signing, as Fightful Select are reporting that the company are in talks with Cody Rhodes about a new long-term contract.
“Sources have confirmed to Fightful that WWE has been engaged in talks with Cody Rhodes about a multi-year contract extension. Based on what we’re told, WWE is trying to lock him down long term.”

The report also notes that, whilst Fightful are yet to hear about the specifics, those within the company are confident of a deal being done and expect Rhodes to get a sizeable raise, with his contract extension said to be a priority for TKO.
Additionally, Cody is said to have got a new bus around Thanksgiving, however, despite speculation from some within the company, this was not an indication of the deal being agreed.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Cody Rhodes’ contract negotiations with WWE as soon as we hear more.
