Bron Breakker is expected to win the World Heavyweight Championship.
This past Monday’s episode of RAW saw Bron Breakker make his way to the ring holding the World Heavyweight Championship. The former Intercontinental Champion had betrayed The Vision’s leader, Seth Rollins, the week prior, with Adam Pearce announcing that the title would need to be vacated.
With a battle royal set for later in the show to determine CM Punk’s opponent for the vacant title at Saturday Night’s Main, many fans were surprised to see Breakker absent from the lineup. In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that while Breakker is planned to eventually win the title, WWE want to save the moment for a bigger occasion.
“Breakker is expected to end up as champion, but they have a plan of how and when to execute it, and it happening on an SNME show which is a Peacock exclusive and likely won’t do big viewing numbers was decided to not be the time or the place. So if Breakker wasn’t going to win, there was no reason to put him in and get eliminated.”

Jey Uso ultimately emerged victorious to close the show, setting up a match with CM Punk at WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1 for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship.
The Vision’s Bronson Reed was also absent from the battle royal, though with both he and Breakker still under the guidance of Paul Heyman, it seems only a matter of time before championship gold is within their grasp.
Elsewhere in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that this year’s men’s WarGames match is still expected to feature a team led by Roman Reigns and CM Punk taking on a team led by The Vision. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on plans for Bron Breakker to win the World Heavyweight Championship as soon as we hear more.
