Since walking out of the May 16th episode of Raw, former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Naomi have been absent from WWE television, having both been indefinitely suspended by the company on that week’s edition of Smackdown.
Exactly one month later, Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc reported that Banks had been released by WWE, and whilst this report has yet to be confirmed by WWE themselves, the company have also yet to deny the claim.
PWInsider have now provided an interesting update on the situation, noting that both Banks & Naomi have been removed from WWE’s internal roster over the last 24 hours.
“While there has been no official indication they have been released, PWInsider.com can confirm that both Sasha Banks and Naomi were removed from WWE’s Internal roster over the last 24 hours.”

Additionally, the report also states that PWInsider have heard rumblings that Banks may be set to appear at some signings outside of WWE this fall, although this is also yet to be officially confirmed.
Time will tell as to whether WWE officially confirm the pair’s departure, but as of writing it certainly seems hard to imagine that the former Women’s Tag Team Champions will be making a return to the company.
