Ridge Holland is seemingly no longer under WWE contract.
On October 13, Luke Menzies, known to WWE fans as Ridge Holland, announced that WWE would not be renewing his contract upon its expiration, bringing his seven-year tenure with the promotion to an end.
Fightful Select are now reporting that Menzies’ WWE contract has been terminated early following his recent social media activity, with the 37-year-old seemingly not set to be paid for the remainder of his deal.
“Fightful Select confirmed with WWE sources that Menzies’ WWE deal has been terminated early. The word within WWE was that they considered some of his recent posts a breach and the call was made to release him from his deal early. The deal was originally set to go until mid-November, of which he’d be paid. It was strongly suggested that he won’t be paid for the remaining period.”

Menzies took to X on November 4 to speak candidly about the nature of his WWE departure, claiming the company had left him unable to pay his mortgage.

The former Ridge Holland suffered a Lisfranc foot injury at a TNA taping on September 27, which WWE had sent him to, with the injury set to sideline him until March 2026 at the earliest. Menzies noted that he was not paid extra by WWE for the appearance.
Menzies joined WWE in 2018 following a brief stint on the independent scene after stepping away from rugby league to pursue a career as a professional wrestler. He leaves the company as a former NXT Tag Team Champion with Andre Chase and will likely be best remembered for his time as part of the Brawling Brutes alongside Sheamus and Pete Dunne.
While many have questioned WWE’s decision to release one of their stars with seven months of recovery remaining, the report notes that the company is still required to provide Menzies with rehabilitation. This is likely to mitigate potential legal action had they chosen not to do so.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Ridge Holland’s WWE exit as soon as we hear more, and we continue to wish him all the best in his recovery.
