‘The Ruler’ has made believers out of many.

NXT Champion Oba Femi is widely viewed by the WWE Universe as a future WrestleMania main eventer. With vignettes now airing on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown promoting the 27-year-old, it appears that several decision makers within the company share that belief.

According to a report from BodySlam, Oba Femi has made a strong impression on WWE officials with his recent appearances, leading to the belief that he is an undeniable talent on a similar level to Monday Night RAW’s Bron Breakker.

“WWE officials were said to be “unbelievably impressed” by Femi’s appearances on SmackDown and Saturday Night’s Main Event. So much so, vignettes for Femi have aired on both SmackDown and RAW since. Sources indicate to Bodyslam that officials view Femi on par with Bron Breakker. Femi is expected to be called up to the main roster very soon. If Bron’s current push and trajectory tells you anything, it’s that Oba Femi will be a special, special case and main event player for years to come.”

Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 saw Oba Femi face WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and, while interference from Drew McIntyre led to a disqualification defeat, fans inside the Capital One Arena appeared impressed by the NXT star as the company showcased its future ahead of John Cena’s swansong later that night.

NXT: New Year’s Evil on January 6 will see Oba Femi defend the NXT Championship against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, who also impressed fans with his performance at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Oba Femi as soon as we hear more.
