Sheamus seems to be sticking around in WWE.

This year has been major in terms of contract news in WWE, as they have had to work on new deals for many of their top talent. In recent months, Drew McIntyre, Asuka and Shayna Baszler are just some of the names to have extended their stay with the company, and now WWE are looking to keep another key name on their books going forward.

Per PWInsider Elite, it’s believed that WWE are looking at renewing the deal of Sheamus. Specifically, the 46-year-old could be set to remain with the company for another 3-5 years.

“You can add former WWE Champion Sheamus to the list of talents working out a new long-term contract with WWE, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm.  We are told that it is very close to being done or was just completed, but internally, it’s being looked at as Sheamus is set to be with the company for at least another 3-5 years.

Should it happen, a new contract would put to bed any speculation of Sheamus’ future, particularly since the Irishman’s current deal was believed to be expiring this year. At present, he is regularly seen on Monday Night RAW and is currently locked into a feud with Pete Dunne.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on a new WWE deal for Sheamus as soon as we hear more.
