WWE Sources Reportedly Blame Jade Cargill For Rhea Ripley Social Media Feud

Some in WWE reportedly aren’t happy with Jade Cargill after her recent social media storm.
Over the last couple of days, fans have seen Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill go back and forth on X with a number of heated posts ahead of their WrestleMania showdown. However, when the WWE Women’s Champion accused ‘The Eradicator’ of spending hours talking to the company’s creative team, many began questioning whether their dispute was based on genuine animosity rather than pre-planned build to their match. Especially when the likes of Chelsea Green and Piper Niven backed up Ripley against Cargill, it seemed as if other roster members were disgruntled with how the champion was handling herself online. Now, more has emerged on what some in WWE have made of the exchange.
According to an update for PWInsider Elite, it’s believed a number of WWE sources are placing the blame on Cargill for the recent blow-up, with it said that the Women’s Champion is no stranger to tension with the many in the locker room.
“The back and forth between Jade Cargill and others was not something devised by WWE Creative with a number of sources placing the blame for the blow-up on Cargill. One source noted that Cargill has been criticized by a number of talents for how she rubs others the wrong way and that when the back and forth with Rhea began, it wasn’t hard for others to want to jump in and voice their opinions. They cited this wasn’t the first time Cargill has upset others with how she conducted herself and intimated that when there were reports about Cargill being hurt last year, the real reason she disappeared and spent time in the PC was to let personal issues going on at the time subside. Another source tried to downplay the situation, but later admitted that they expect management would step in and speak to Cargill about her relationship with the locker room. The source noted that everyone in the locker room has been happy to do whatever they need to do to get Cargill over but that the respect they show her does not often feel requited. They described it as Cargill coming off “insecure” when she shouldn’t have any reason to feel that way.”

At present, there are around six weeks left until Ripley and Cargill clash in Las Vegas. While it seems clear that their social media activity wasn’t planned in advance, it remains to be seen whether WWE will opt to incorporate it into their on-screen build to WrestleMania 42, with the situation certainly one to keep an eye on as we edge closer to the ‘Show Of Shows’.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the social media exchange between Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley as soon as we hear more.
