WWE’s Night of Champions could be affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Earlier this week, both Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer revealed that WWE’s planned Premium Live Events in Saudi Arabia this year, as well as WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh next year, are now in doubt amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling later added that the June 27 Night of Champions is now in question, and there has since been another update on the status of the event.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE sources are “doubtful at best” that Night of Champions will take place in Saudi Arabia this year.

“Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select reports that sources in Stamford believe that it is “doubtful at best” that the Night of Champions PLE will take place in Saudi Arabia as planned due to ongoing conflicts across the region. This could change, but that’s the word for the June show as of now.”

Saudi Arabia has found itself the target of reported Iranian strikes amid the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, further escalating tensions across the region. With Saudi Arabia having threatened retaliatory action, the situation appears increasingly volatile, and there is little indication that a de-escalation will occur in the immediate future.

PWInsider reported in February that there are two more WWE Premium Live Events, including Night of Champions, slated to take place in Saudi Arabia in 2026, with the Royal Rumble having been held in Riyadh on January 31.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s planned Premium Live Events in Saudi Arabia as soon as we hear more.
