The latest update has emerged on Andrade’s WWE exit.
On September 13, it emerged that Andrade had left WWE. It was immediately clarified that it wasn’t a case of his contract expiry, and it was later noted that the star had at least one wellness policy violation during his most recent run, though it’s unknown whether this had a direct impact on his release. With the news still fresh, there’s now been an update on reported internal frustration on WWE’s side regarding the former United States Champion.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that WWE were frustrated that Andrade’s English wasn’t improving, with it even noted that the company may have had ‘buyer’s remorse’ after signing him from AEW.
“Some noted to us frustration that his English never got better. One noted to us that there was a buyer’s remorse, in the sense they thought bringing him in from AEW would be huge since talent that had come in from AEW like Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were received so well and figured he’d follow similarly with its fan base, particularly since he came directly off AEW television and was in the mix with the top guys in the tournament.”

With it having only been just under a week since his departure, little is known about what’s next for Andrade. The star could look to return to All Elite Wrestling, while CMLL and NJPW remain strong possibilities given his previous experience with both respective companies.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Andrade’s WWE departure as soon as we hear more.
