The former World Heavyweight Champion’s return appears imminent.
GUNTHER has been absent from WWE programming since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk in the main event of SummerSlam Night 1. Reports at the time indicated he was scheduled to undergo nose surgery following the match.
It now appears as though said absence could be coming to an end, however, as in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that GUNTHER’s return is on the horizon.

Immediately after GUNTHER’s loss to CM Punk at SummerSlam, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract and defeated the newly crowned World Heavyweight Champion to capture the title.
With two World Heavyweight Championship reigns already to his name, it appears only a matter of time before ‘Der Ringgeneral’ pursues another title opportunity.
