Xavier Woods Gives Shoulder Injury Update, Says Surgery Is A Possibility

Xavier Woods says he may need to get surgery before he returns to WWE.
On the February 16 edition of Monday Night RAW, Kofi Kingston announced to fans that Xavier Woods was taking time away from active competition to recover from a shoulder injury he’d been battling through for around three months. Woods hasn’t competed since he featured in a dark match at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event, and now he’s given an update on his condition.
Speaking to No-Contest Wrestling, Woods revealed he has a couple of tears in his shoulder. Here, he noted that, while ideally he’ll recovery through physical therapy, surgery is a possible option for him.
“My shoulder apparently has gone through a meat grinder. I got a couple tears in there. We’re hoping that it’s just physical therapy and then I’ll be alright. If not, then your boy will have to get cut open. We’ll see how it goes. I’m positive. I’m optimistic. I was telling some friends the other day if it is surgery, then that’s what it is. That’s what the universe has given me as my test. That’s the next mountain that I have to climb. The next lesson I have to learn Everything happens for a reason.”

Despite being out of action, Woods remains on our screens to support Kofi Kingston. Most recently, he was seen in a sling as his tag team partner competed in the ring. Of course, we wish Woods the best with regard to his recovery from his shoulder injury and look forward to seeing him back as soon as he’s medically able.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Xavier Woods’ injury status as soon as we hear more.
