The relationship between AEW & Warner Bros. Discovery is going very well it seems.

AEW’s original TV rights deal was signed with Discovery back in 2019. The deal was for 3 years with a 1 year option. Since the deal has been signed, Discovery merged with Warner Bros. However, it has been reported since that WBD are happy with AEW.

With the original 3 years of AEW’s first TV deal coming up, much conversation has been made about what kind of offer, if any would be made by WBD to extend their relationship with AEW.

According to a new report by Fightful Select, a Warner Bros. Discover source had told them that they would be shocked if AEW was not offered a new deal.

“A longtime employee, said that they’d be shocked if AEW was not offered a renewal and significant increase on their rights fee deals. It was noted to Fightful that the two sides have been extremely collaborative and open to input from one another.”
