Trinity comments on potentially working with Mercedes Moné again.
Trinity and Mercedes Moné, the former Naomi and Sasha Banks in WWE, walked out of the company in May 2022 following a reported creative dispute with Vince McMahon. The pair, who then held the Women’s Tag Team Championships, were scheduled to compete in a Six-Pack Challenge to determine the next challenger for then-Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
After walking out, they were stripped of their titles and suspended indefinitely before both departing in early 2023. Moné debuted for New Japan Pro Wrestling at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and won the IWGP Women’s Championship just over a month later. She appeared to be poised to win the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship before an ankle injury put that on hold. Trinity debuted for Impact Wrestling in March shortly after confirming she was no longer under contract with WWE and has quickly emerged as a star in their Knockouts division. The two women taking different paths in their immediate post-WWE careers hasn’t stopped fans from speculating about a reunion.
Speaking with Joseph Staszewski of the New York Post, Trinity stated that she is open to doing more on-screen work with Moné in the right situation.
“I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else other than her, whatever that is. I’ll always do what’s best for her, what’s best for me and what’s best for the business. If it’s something that comes up that makes sense for the both of us, hell yeah.”

Trinity also reflected on their decision to leave WWE, and described how the situation brought the two of them closer together than before.
“Me and her, we just had each other it felt like. Other than Tamina, Bayley checking in on us regularly, that was it. We just had each other going through that. Nobody understands the magnitude of what happened and what really went on and why we feel the way we feel and where we are but me and her and the people that were involved that day. It just goes to show how real our friendship is and how real all of this is.”

Trinity is scheduled to compete at Impact Wrestling’s Slammiversary pay-per-view this Saturday (July 15), where she will be challenging Impact Knockouts World Champion Deonna Purrazzo for the title. Moné is still out of action with the aforementioned ankle injury, which she suffered at NJPW Strong Resurgence in May. If the two reunite, it won’t be for a while longer, but in the meantime, fans of Trinity’s work can support her by watching her this Saturday.
