Yet another major name has been spotted in the Motor City ahead of the Biggest Party of the Summer.
Randy Orton has been absent from WWE since the May 20th, 2022 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos in a title unification match. Orton underwent back fusion surgery in November of last year, yet whilst doctors have advised him not to return to the ring, The Viper is still reportedly eyeing up a comeback.
Ahead of tomorrow night’s SummerSlam premium live event, PWInsider are reporting that Orton is in Detroit, Michigan, potentially pointing towards a return being on the horizon.

It must be stressed that Orton being in Detroit this weekend is not definitive confirmation of an imminent in-ring return, as PWInsider also confirmed today that Bobby Roode’s presence at the event is due to him working as a producer.
Regardless, fans will be hopeful of seeing the former multi-time World Champion step back into the ring in the near future, with his most recent run teaming with Matt Riddle as RK-Bro being hailed by many as his best work in recent memory.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Randy Orton’s presence in Detroit ahead of SummerSlam, as well as his ongoing recovery from injury, as soon as we hear more.
