A new promotion founded by Rossy Ogawa has been announced.
On February 4th, Bushiroad & STARDOM announced that STARDOM founder and executive producer Rossy Ogawa’s contract had been terminated with immediate effect, citing allegations of poaching talent and staff. Shortly thereafter, Ogawa revealed his intentions of starting a new promotion, and those plans have now materialised.
During a press conference held in Japan today on WRESTLE UNIVERSE’s YouTube channel, Ogawa revealed his new promotion, DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold, along with the introduction of the first seven roster members.
As expected, former STARDOM talents Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, MIRAI, Mai Sakurai, & Yuzuki (now known as Victoria Yuzuki) were revealed, alongside fellow STARDOM founder Nanae Takahashi and former Ice Ribbon talent Nao Ishikawa.
Additionally, Marigold’s first event, titled ‘Marigold Fields Forever,’ will take place on May 20th at Korakuen Hall, with the main event seeing Giulia and a mystery partner take on Sareee (FKA Sarray in WWE) and another mystery partner.
The company’s initial tour, ‘Marigold Grand Opening Wars,’ was also announced during the press conference and will run throughout the end of June.

Prior to the press conference, Actwres girl’Z (AWG) announced that their advisor Fuka, along with six other talents, would be leaving the company with immediate effect and that they had met with people planning to launch a new promotion.
As Ogawa’s press conference was drawing to a close, Fuka and six former AWG talents asked to wrestle in Marigold, to which Ogawa accepted and invited them to take part in the closing group photo.
The six former Actwres girl’Z joining Marigold include current AWG Single Champion Natsumi Sumikawa, Miku Aono, CHIAKI, Kouki, Misa Matsui, & Chika Goto.
Three foreign wrestlers will also be joining Marigold for their first tour, those being Zayda Steel, Myla Grace, and Bozilla.
Per Marigold’s website, the promotion’s shows will be available both via VOD and live streamed on WRESTLE UNIVERSE, with both Japanese and English commentary confirmed for the first event.
