CM Punk shoots down talk of retirement.

The past few months have seen two of WWE’s all-time greats bring their legendary in-ring careers to an end, with John Cena retiring at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December, whilst AJ Styles called time on his career at the Royal Rumble in January earlier this year.

Speaking to SHAK Wrestling about being the cover star of WWE 2K26, CM Punk touched on featuring in the game’s Showcase mode and made it clear that he isn’t planning on retiring any time soon.

“I think [WWE 2K26] Showcase with CM Punk, it encompasses my entire career. The beginning, the middle, and we’re obviously creeping towards the end. Not any time soon. Everybody stop asking me. Stop freaking out.”

CM Punk is set to defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of Night Two of WrestleMania 42 on April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Talk of retirement has also been addressed elsewhere in WWE, with Charlotte Flair recently making it clear that she isn’t planning on calling time on her in-ring career just yet. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for CM Punk as soon as we hear more.
